Single-use Equipment in Biopharmaceutical Processing

Operations @Biotech Training Facility

In the search for safe and efficient solutions, single-use equipment is quickly becoming the standard. This course explains the role of single-use equipment in bioprocessing and addresses critical aspects during manufacturing.

Location

Short description

The course is an introduction to bioprocessing, covering upstream and downstream processing and the final formulation of the medicinal product. You will also learn about the role of single-use equipment during these process steps, including the benefits, limitations, and regulatory aspects of this type of equipment.

The course covers the use of SU technology across the entire spectrum of biopharmaceutical production, from buffer and medium preparation, cell culture using a bioreactor, purification, ultrafiltration/diafiltration (UF/DF) to laboratory chromatography. The process flow has been set up on a small scale in our cleanrooms, so that you can see the equipment in operation.

Part of the course takes place in cleanrooms and laboratories, allowing you to observe various operational steps on a small scale and perform a number of tasks yourself. You will also participate in Virtual Reality modules and watch films, which makes it possible to also demonstrate large equipment.

This course is organised together with Pall Corporation. Upon registration you therefore also agree with the privacy policy of Pall Corporation.
