Aseptic working plays an important role in preventing microbiological (cross-)contamination. The behavior of the people working in a LAF cabinet is in fact the biggest challenge in this regard. During this training, our focus will be on the risks and importance of proper techniques and aseptic behavior, both in theory and in practice.
During this practical training, participants will have the opportunity to practice key skills, such as disinfecting the cabinet and materials. They will then carry out exercises that focus on proper aseptic behavior and techniques. Additional topics include microbiological monitoring, donning sterile gloves and clothing, and more.
Theoretical sessions and workshops will take place in the classroom, while practical exercises will be conducted in our cleanroom using a downflow LAF cabinet.
Alongside hands-on practice, special attention will be given to the rationale behind each action. Why are certain steps necessary? How do airflow patterns work? How can the risk of contamination be minimized?
Through interactive workshops and practical sessions, we will explore potential risks and how to reduce them, with the goal of increasing awareness of the participants' own behavior and its impact on aseptic processes.
